Mistral Air was established over 40 years ago by Carlo Pedersoli (stage name Bud Spencer), and since 2002 has been owned by the Poste Italiane Group.

Mistral Air operates daily:

  • - Scheduled flights from the main Italian airports
  • - Charter flights in the medium and short-haul
  • - Ad hoc flights
  • - Overnight flight on behalf of Poste Italiane to the hub of Brescia
  • - Operates scheduled international flights, medium and short-haul charter flights and specially arranged flights

Mistral Air is certified as a flight operator in accordance with European legislation (EU OPS1) and has its own pilot training school, which is the first in Italy to have obtained certification from ENAC (the Italian Civil Aviation Authority) as a T.R.T.O (Type Rating Training Organisation). This is further evidence of the way in which pilots are constantly kept up to date, and of Mistral Air’s readiness to invest in training and professionalism.


Mistral Air’s aim is to provide a service to individual customers, Tour Operator and companies that is as attentive and reliable as possible.

From 2016 Mistral Air is IATA Member.

  • 2 ATR 72 200 Cargo

In accordance with European Directive 2008/101/EC (EU ETS), Mistral Air pays attention to environmental protection through the monitoring of CO2 emissions and fuel consumption of its fleet optimization.

By 2010, the company participates in the International Post Corporation EMMS International Poste Italiane is a member.
